FreshBooks
- Open Items and Services and stay on the Items tab.
- Choose More Actions, then Export Items. FreshBooks downloads a CSV file, which includes archived items.
Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory
- Open Items and select the More icon at the top of the list.
- Choose Export, pick CSV or XLSX, and export. Leave the password blank, because a protected file can't be read here.
If you renamed fields such as UPC in Zoho, set the column match by hand after opening the file.
Wave
Wave's data export doesn't include products. The route it offers is Wave Connect for Google Sheets: in a sheet, open Extensions > Wave Connect, choose Download, pick your business and the product data, and download it. Then copy the rows, header included, and paste them into the label maker.
Anything else
- Look for Export on your item, product or inventory list. Choose CSV or Excel.
- If there is no export, run an item report and send it to Excel. Title rows above the list are skipped for you.
- Make sure the file has a header row, with a name like
SKUorDescriptionat the top of each column.
Print the labels
- Open the label maker and choose Open CSV or Excel file, or paste the rows.
- Check the column matches. Common names are matched automatically, cost columns are left out on purpose, and you can change any match.
- Pick a template and label stock, check the preview, and print.
Older .xls files can't be opened directly. Save them as .xlsx or CSV first, or copy and paste the rows. Using QuickBooks, Xero or Sage? See the QuickBooks, Xero and Sage guides.
