Sage 50 (US)
- Go to File > Select Import/Export.
- Choose Inventory, then the Inventory Item List, and select Export.
- On the Options tab, note where the file will be saved. It is called
ITEM.CSV. If you see Include Headings, tick it so the column names come across. - Select OK to export.
Sage 50 has several sale price columns. The first one is used for the label; you can pick another after opening the file. The Item ID prints as a Code 128 barcode by default. If you keep retail UPCs in the UPC/SKU column, switch the label's barcode to that column and set the type to UPC-A.
Sage 100
Sage 100 has no single standard item export, so the columns are whichever ones you choose.
- Quickest: open an item lookup and use its Excel button, then save the sheet.
- From a report: run your item report and use the Data Only Export option, which leaves out the report headings. Add a header row in Excel if the file has none.
- With Visual Integrator: create a job in Export Job Maintenance, use the item table, and choose a delimited file.
Include at least the item code, description and price. Item codes make good Code 128 barcodes.
Sage Intacct
- Open Inventory Control > All > Items.
- Set the list to show the columns you want, such as item ID, name, UPC and price.
- Choose Export, then CSV or Excel. A list export stops at 10,000 rows, so filter first if you have more.
Sage Accounting
- Open Products and services.
- Open the dropdown beside New Item and choose Export items.
- Pick Stock, Non-stock or Services and export. Each type is its own CSV file.
These steps come from Sage's UK help pages. Menu names change between Sage versions and regions. If you can't find an option, search Sage's help for "export items".
Print the labels
- Open the label maker and choose Open CSV or Excel file, or paste the rows with their header.
- Check the column matches at the top of your list. Cost columns are left out on purpose, and you can change any match. If Sage has no name column, the description is used as the name.
- Pick a template and label stock, check the preview, and print.
